Birds - Interactive slide

Since, we are in spring. Every kid wants to know more about backyard birds. For example what do they eat? How do they fly? So here is my lesson plan for the week. Its good to start discussing by asking question about birds. Here is the breakdown of the Lesson plan:

Day 1- I would start off with a discussion about birds. For example what they already know about birds and along with that I will make notes on the KWL chart.

Day 2 - We will be discussing about birds such as Blue jay, American Robin and Parrots. It is good to learn about birds body parts as well and talk about what they eat?

Day 3- We will talk about the queries such as Why they migrate? How feathers help them? Why Birds sing?

Day 4- Activity time Lets draw a bird! and a matching activity.

Day 5- Let's revisit the Birds video, Read aloud and Show and share activity.
